Index Governance Changes

As of July 1, 2026, governance of the CRSP Market Indexes has transitioned to the standard Morningstar Indexes Governance framework, replacing the governance authorities and procedures outlined in the CRSP Market Indexes Governance Committees Terms of Reference. 

The index design review functions previously performed by the CRSP Index Management Committee have been assumed by the Morningstar Index Methodology Committee. Similarly, the functions of the CRSP Index Operating and Index Eligibility Committees are now covered by the Morningstar Index Operations Committee. The Morningstar Index Oversight Committee provides an additional layer of independent oversight across the Morningstar Indexes business, including CRSP indexes, in accordance with the IOSCO Principles for Financial Benchmarks and EU Benchmark Regulation, and as a result the CRSP Index Advisory Council has been dissolved. 

No changes have been made to index construction or calculation methodologies as a result of this update.

CRSP ISS ESG Indexes Termination

As of July 1, 2026, CRSP has terminated the calculation and publication of the CRSP ISS ESG Indexes:

• CRSP ISS US Large Cap ESG Non-Prime Index
• CRSP ISS US Large Cap ESG Index
• CRSP ISS US Large Cap ESG Remainder Index
• CRSP ISS US Large Cap ESG Industry Balanced Index
• CRSP ISS US Large Cap ESG Industry Balanced Remainder Index
